Week 61: rain

Pres and Sister Jergensen<33 best in the world!

嗨 ^_^

Update: We have been teaching Jessie (see last post). 大家 I love the difference and the light that comes into people's lives when they begin to learn the gospel. All the promises of finding the greatest joy from doing so are REAL.
They are so real!

This week my mind can't even process the miracles.
will share a few, starting with the miracle from last night.
Sister Jensen and I were biking back to our area with a bunch of planned visits, but then I had this strong feeling we needed to stop and visit a family we know named 謝姐妹. I hesitantly asked Sister Jensen because we hadn't talked about visiting this family and she said
"We gotta go because I was just thinking the same thing."
So we went to their apartment building thinking that we'd see the 謝姐妹. BUT in the elevator a cute Indonesian girl pushed the button for us to get off on the 5th floor when we needed the 7th. So we decided to first just get off on the 5th and ended up talking to some cute little kids riding bikes down the hallway when their grandpa came out and we ended up talking with him and told him we shared a message of Jesus Christ and family.  He invited us in to eat with him, his wife, their son and daughter-in-law and their two kids. (also a lil FYI is that the whole fam is vegetarian - there was a vegetarian FEAST on the table!) We told them we didn't want to bother them, but they insisted that we eat with them! The Taiwanese people are so good. Whoever just invites two completely random people in to eat with them!? We told about our families and learned some about them. They asked us so many questions - how do you speak Chinese in one year? how are you only 20? why are you willing to leave your families? why are there so many churches?  We shared a message of Jesus Christ and the gospel blessing our families. The Spirit was so strong in their home with them.
They invited us to come back this Thursday!!

Next miracle: our investigator, Amber 莊, showed up to English class this week! We haven't seen her for a whole month okay? So after English class she opens up to the last paragraph of the introduction of the Book of Mormon we had given her. She said, "I read this and said "why do I feel so 感動 (emotional/touched) when I read this? " She said it left and Indescribable feeling. We were just amazed at how prepared she is and right then and there she set a date to be baptized in July!!! We called her the next day and asked where she was in her reading in the Book of Mormon. You can imagine how shocked we were when she told us Alma 52...OVER HALFWAY!
She loves the Book of Mormon. And so do I.

This is the paragraph Amber read in the introduction to the Book of Mormon:

We invite all men/women everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5.) Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is His revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the Second Coming of the Messiah.

I know that if we take this invitation to read and pray about this book of scripture, desiring to know for ourselves of its truthfulness, we will be given an answer. And that answer will help us know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called to restore truths for our day and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and God is real! This answer will change your life as I have seen it change lives while here on my mission! There is a merciful God in Heaven who is always waiting to show us the things we are not seeing and help us find a joy that we can only find through Him.

Because the gospel is true, there are miracles happening daily!

I don't know your daily life, but I do know that the gospel is the most individualistic message in the world because it is based upon your relationship with God, who knows you personally and will answer you personally.
am so grateful to know this.
There are so many miracles and joys in every day and if we continue to seek Christ, we will see many many more miracles and feel joy unlike we have ever felt before!

I love you all and I pray for you!
